My Starvation Diet
I've cut back to 1,500 calories a day.
Will I live to be 120 years old?

1500 calories? I cut back to lower than that every time I diet seriously. I'm amazed that qualifies as a major calorie restriction -- I'd heard 800 for similar purposes, which sounded like near-starvation. And this woman does have serious willpower problems if she can't fast for one day, even for religious purposes. I never enjoy it, but I've certainly done it before!

Nevertheless, I'd rather keep eating pizza and drinking beer once in a while, even if it means I only live into my 90s like my grandmothers. ;-)

I know! 1500-1600 has been my standard fare for most of the past 10 years!!! Of course, Sarah pointed out that maybe that is why people in our family lives to be 90 plus years old... Even when I was eating 900 calories - I didn't really feel hungry - I just felt tired all the time. 900 calories is still 2 300 calorie meals and 3 100 calorie snacks/meals. Fruit and vegetables are usually 20-60 calories per serving.
