Since last week's weigh-in, my weight has been low 148-point-something or high 147-point-something, until yesterday morning when I weighed 148.8, which was depressing. And then we had Halloween, so I didn't exercise (had to run out at lunch to get trick-or-treat bags), and ate too much (meals were o.k.--cereal for breakfast as usual, whole wheat pasta and veggies for lunch, pot roast and corn muffin for dinner (thanks Amy and Katie!), almonds and grapes for snack, but then I ate three cookies during the day, had coffee with I don't even remember what kind of alcohol in it (thanks Katie and Amy!), and had four pieces of candy (REALLY good for me on Halloween, but I just wasn't in the mood for candy). So the best I was hoping for this morning was that I wouldn't weigh more this week than last week.
Instead I was 146.4, down over two pounds from last week. Now, I KNOW that can't be right, can it? But I swear, I weighed myself three times and that's what came up on the scale. So I don't know what's going on.
OTOH, I'm wearing a skirt today that I haven't worn in several years because it's always been too tight around my waist. It just fits right now (although will probably be a bit tight by the end of the day) but it gives me hope that this weight loss is for real. Also now that I'm down ten+ pounds from the start, I'm beginning to think that my goal of the mid-130's isn't entirely unrealistic.
And here is where I confess that on my way to work this morning, I ate the two peanut-laden candies that I pilfered from the deadly stash last night. I'll probably be back in the 148 range tomorrow!

See! This is what ALWAYS happens to me over the weekends... I eat worse, I don't exercise, I drink more and I lose weight! It is very strange. I do spend a lot more time on my feet at night on the weekends (bars, ya know,) I think the whole running around thing really does help to lose weight!
Last week I had a beer one night and ate badly all day, no exercise (IIRC), and I dropped two pounds the next morning. I was sorely tempted to try a beer last night to see if it helped today! Very strange.
