Fitness Fun Fact #1

Your body burns about 10 calories digesting every 100 calories of protein, but just 4 calories for the equivalent amount of carbs. So to boost the amount of calories you burn each day, replace 300 calories of carbs with 300 calories of protein.

I have a million of these. Let's see how long I can keep this up...

My eating this week has been downright shameful. Plus I drank more than usual too. I haven't been buying Woodchuck cider for a really long time, and now I know why. Darn those things are tasty! I had 3 last night along with a small glass of wine, some yucky champagne AND a shot of Aftershock (darn peer pressure from Terry!)

Joe & I decided we are going to upgrade our treadmill rather than join gyms. We did the cost benefit analysis on it and it makes more sense for us to do that financially. I am pretty excited--we ordered a REALLY nice treadmill from HSN today. We went yesterday and looked around York, but while we were lying in bed today (I'll confess--it was noon!) he was flipping channels and we saw the HSN Fitness sale show and it was an awesome deal. Free S&H, no sales tax and it was 3x the treadmill we were looking at in the store. I can't wait until it comes. Although that means we have to figure out what to do with our current one. It is a $300 model from Wal Mart that we have had for 5 years. It has a few cosmetic issues, but no mechanical ones.
